PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Dubai Creek Dream Harbour – Conceptual Design for Indoor Commercial Street Junction Points

Mar. 2023 – Jan. 2024

  • Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in Architectural Design: VR and AR tools combined with AI technology provide an immersive experience for architectural design. Designers can preview design plans in real time and make interactive changes in a virtual environment. In addition, by utilizing AR technology, users can experience the design effect in the actual space, enhancing their perception and understanding of the space.
  • Using digital tools and parametric design to design unique spatial forms and details through technological elements combined with bionics and natural elements as a theme, dynamic technological elements such as holographic projection TFG avatars are integrated into the design in the commercial space to realize the combination of virtual and real intelligent customer service for guiding users and other activities.
  • Bionic robots are used to create bionic jellyfish, coral and other interactive devices with practical functions and aesthetics in the underwater coral-themed space.
  • The design extends from the commercial atrium to the overall spatial layout of the neighboring commercial street to ensure the consistency of the indoor and outdoor design styles.

EMOTION ON DISPLAY – “INFINITAS” EMOTION MUSEUM

Nov. 2022 – Jan. 2023

  • Designed and completed an experimental museum building integrating emotion and human-computer interaction, starting from Prachik’s emotional model, constructing an interaction system between users’ emotional data and spatial forms, integrating real-time emotional feedback devices and immersive transitional space design, realizing spatial progression as well as emotional progression through the correlation of different spaces, and providing an innovative solution for emotional regulation and cognitive experience. The project combines architectural design and HC design. The project combines the latest technologies in the field of architectural design and HCI, emphasizes the synergy between nature and technology, and enhances the healing and emotional mobility of the space through dynamic interactive devices and multi-sensory experiences.

Mobile Application Development

Sep. 2022 – Mar. 2023 Aug. 2022 – Dec. 2022

  • Developed a mobile application for health management that supports users to record diet and exercise data.
  • Implemented user interface optimisation, resulting in a 50% increase in app downloads within a month of release.

Distributed KV Store System

Sep. 2022 – Mar. 2023

  • Implemented a distributed key-value store system with Java following Paxos (PMMC) protocol supporting some fundamental operations including put, get, append and multi-puts.
  • Used the primary-backup function for servers, 2PC and 2PL for sharded servers and engaged in testing and modifying the Paxos implementation.

Machine Learning Project – Urban Expansion data of fifty main cities in China

Sep. 2022 – Mar. 2023

  • Created additional features after data preprocessing. Used ExtraTrees Regressor to drop all the features that scored low in feature importance; used feature correlation to remove highly correlated features.
  • Implemented the following models to fit data: Linear regression, Ridge regression, Bayesian regression, Random Forest regressor, Extra Trees regressor, and Extreme Gradient Boosting.
  • Used RandomizedSearchCV and GridSearchCV to tune the parameters to achieve higher cross-validation scores for each type of model.

WENZHOU-YAOXI NORTH UNIT PLOT BIDDING ROAMING ANIMATION INTERACTIVE DESIGN-TONTSEN

Otc. 2017 – Dec. 2017

  • This project is the bidding for the residential project of Bijieyuan for the land parcels of Yaoxi North Unit (11-A-15, 11-A-24, 11-A-30) in Yongqiang Area of Wenzhou. The project demonstrates the design advantages of the residential project through architectural interactive animation.

Core Contribution:

  • Full-process visual design: the leadership team completed 3D scene modelling based on SketchUp model; output 4K level roaming animation (total duration 5 minutes 01 seconds) through Lumion real-time rendering, synchronized with the VR team deployed to HTC VIVE to achieve VR interaction;
  • which immersive proposal strategy: design 6 key interactive nodes (entry lobby/landscape axis/skyline view corridor), allowing the judges to freely switch the sunlight simulation/height of viewpoints; implanting dynamic data floats (floor area ratio/home ownership rate/green building indexes), to strengthen the persuasive power of the technical bid;
  • Final Result: The animation programme increased the efficiency of bid evaluation by 40% and helped the team win the bid.
