About

He is a seasoned professional, having worked as a Senior Architect at DP Architects in Singapore for over 7 years, and has 2 years of independent interaction design practice (with Google UX Design Certification). His interdisciplinary expertise combines spatial design and user-centred digital experiences, thanks to a diverse portfolio of public building projects in China, South East Asia and the Middle East.
His work encompasses a wide range of public buildings including urban design, commercial complexes, head offices, hotels, flats and mixed-use developments, and more specifically he has been involved in the design of high-end residential projects in Vietnam and India. He specialises in façade innovation and spatial optimisation and has led the façade and interior design for the Yangtze River Protection Project and the Dubai Square Mall renovation project commissioned by Emaar Group.
He is proficient in advanced 3D modelling tools such as Rhino/Grasshopper, Blender, UE5, etc. He also utilises AI workflows such as Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, etc., and efficiently realises photorealistic visualisation of complex concepts through Enscape, D5 Render and Twinmotion.
His design philosophy emphasises sustainable innovation through energy-efficient systems, renewable materials and human-centred spatial experiences, and is further enhanced by full-cycle project management and interdisciplinary coordination (especially with the Mandai team in Singapore).
He is currently expanding his practice into the realm of interactive spatial experiences by applying UX principles to create emotionally resonant environments that seamlessly integrate physical architecture with digital interfaces. This fusion allows him to provide solutions that fulfil both immediate functional needs and long-term environmental value, demonstrating his adaptability and creativity across different project types.

BRIEF STORY

Mongolian photographer Altankhuu Jorgutyn captures authentic moments in architectural spaces through his documentary photography. Born in 1992 in Almaty, Jorgutyn graduated from Jilin University of Architecture (JILIN JIANZHU UNIVERSITY) and he is currently engaged in architectural design and photography in Singapore and Shanghai

Me. Jorgutyn has accumulated extensive experience in architectural design across Shanghai, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. This experience has not only deepened his understanding of architecture but also sparked his interest in documentary photography. Since receiving his first Sony digital camera on his 15th birthday, photography has become a significant mode of expression for him.

Mr. Jorgutyn uses documentary photography to authentically present architectural spaces, avoiding excessive modifications to his images. He strives to capture the natural light, shadow effects, and design of buildings. He prefers using horizontal or side angles for panoramic shots, allowing viewers to fully appreciate the architectural and environmental context. He chooses to shoot on days with abundant natural light to fully showcase the lighting effects of the buildings, though he also appreciates the unique beauty found in different weather conditions.

In addition to exteriors, he also focuses on documenting interior spaces. For indoor photography, he adopts a natural and neutral approach, avoiding artificial lighting and shooting during times with ample natural light. He believes this documentary architectural photography style provides a clear and insightful perspective for industry professionals and design enthusiasts.

In summary, Jorgutyn’s work authentically reveals the charm of architectural spaces through his documentary architectural photography style. Combined with insights into buildings and urban spaces, his photos uncover the inherent human ability to create spaces and places with available resources. This brings an accessible and empathetic perspective to the field of architecture.
